Smiling Horizon

I took this picture back during the summer on a camping trip we took, but it took me this long to finally get around to uploading it. We had sat on top of a mountain for a good part of the evening, but the sun set behind us so I didn't get to get any good shots until we started making our way back to camp and passed this nice little lookout where I had a spectacular spot for snapping a final few shots.

I live in Alaska, and in Alaska, the sun doesn't go down for the most part in the summer time, So my dad and I will go fishing at around midnight and come home 3-5 Am ( had to go around his work schedule) . We get our sunsets during the fall, then we have winter where you don't have the sun at all! Sunsets and sunrise are very special here in Alaska.

Hi Dakota,

Gorgeous!

What type of camera do you have? Hop on over to my photo blog. I'm featuring Robin Red Breasts as a theme this week. Gotta love those telephoto lenses!

Blessings,
Judy

We get a lot of beautiful sunsets here in New Mexico. I still enjoy sunsets or sunrises.

Hey Judy,

Thanks for stopping by! I'm currently using a Nikon Coolpix L110, though I'd like to save up for something nicer in the future. I'll be sure to check out your photography blog as well!
