Bye-Bye Birdy

This hawk hangs around our place all the time and, after months of trying, I was finally able to get a decent picture of it. It's tough to get close enough to one without it seeing you and taking off, but I was able to use that fact to my advantage today and get this neat shot of one in mid-flight.

Haha! Looks like my shots of the ospreys here! :-) The wings are in motion while the rest of the body is clear and in focus! Nice job! I have to admit though that it's legs remind me of a chicken's... ;-)

Nice! I am still working on capturing a bird in flight. Usually I am too slow and I can't see and also still trying to figure out my camera..

Awesome shot! We have a red-shouldered hawk that visits our yard often. They are beautiful birds! Thanks for sharing this photo! Have a blessed week!

Hawks are very hard to take photos of. I get most of mine photos of them when I see them sitting on the wire somewhere and catch them before they take off. I have one hanging around my house, too, trying to get my other birds.
