Inspirational

"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
-Romans 12:2

I just finished designing this graphic a few moments ago and wanted to be sure you guys got a chance to see it. In fact, I think this makes a great desktop image and would be happy to send a full resolution copy to anybody who thinks they'd enjoy it.

We just got back from our first camping trip of the season, and must say I'm really excited about some of the pictures I made it home with. Over the next several weeks I'll be sharing with you more than 10% of the shots I managed (that's a pretty good success rate for me) and I hope you'll continue to check back for some truly unique shots!

Yesterday afternoon my sister told me about a bird's nest she'd spotted outside, though at the time I didn't really want to take the time to go check it out. Thankfully I remembered it this evening and, once I had her show me where it was, was able to capture this neat shot during of the few moments when the sun actually peeked through the overcast clouds.

Does anybody know what kind of moth this is? I spotted it the other day and thought it looked very photogenic.

I decided it's been too long since I've done any inspirational photographs, so I paired up this old photo I took a couple months ago with John 10:10. Wintertime definitely provides some unique photo opportunities, doesn't it?

I've made this photo viewable in slightly larger dimensions than I usually do because, in my opinion, anything smaller than this simply doesn't do it justice and I wanted you guys to get the full experience. There's a handful of photos that are particularly special to me, and I think I can definitely add this one to the list.

A Shelter From the Storm

Today we went over to a family member's house to celebrate a birthday and all the women got together and scrapbooked. Even though I do love photography, scrapbooking just isn't my thing and so I headed outside with my camera. This is the last photo I took before coming inside and I thought this verse suited it nicely.

Back near the end of November, one of my faithful followers, Icewolf, commented and asked if I could one day use this verse as the theme for one of my photos. Sorry it took so long, but here it is.

I recently started reading the book Humility: True Greatness by C.J. Mahaney. My mind has been contemplating humility a lot as a result of this book, and I couldn't help but think this verse and photo went perfectly together.

When picking a verse for this photo, I was torn between this Scripture and Psalm 92:14 which reads, "...they shall be fat and flourishing." J/K...

I know I’ve read it at some point in my life, but I wasn’t familiar with this verse until I began searching for one to go with this shot. I really really like it.

This is one of personal favorites. And, judging my the comments I've received, it seems to resonate with you guys as well.

A Scriptureless version of this photo can be viewed under the Flowers tab.

In case you've ever wondered, picking an appropriate verse for my inspirational photos is always a difficult task. I thought I'd decided on John 10:28 as the theme verse for this shot, but reading the text of the above passage made me change my mind very quickly. I hope you like this final version.

I was outside early this afternoon, and this leaf really caught my eye. In comparison with the other leaves around, it was enormous in size; yet what made it stand out in this photo was not its size, but its color. In light of this, I have to say this may be my favorite fall photo I've taken so far this year.

Hiking through the mountains after heavy rains, all of the water collected in this creek bed and flowed beautifully through the forest. It lasted for more than a mile, and all along the way you could see smaller streams flowing over the rocks and through the leaves, eventually making their way here, joining together, and forming this most beautiful piece of scenery.

Here's a look at my newest inspirational photo. I love this picture because it shows some of the beautiful rocks, landscape, and wildlife that our God created. The Scripture from Isaiah adds a different feel to the shot, and gives a somewhat majestic tone to the picture as a whole, in my opinion.

I was thinking earlier that I hadn’t created any inspirational photos in a while, so I pulled out this picture and combined it with Revelation 22:17. I thought the two went well together.

This is a picture from our trip to Mina Sauk Falls. It’s not in this particular shot, but I was standing just a few feet away from the tallest waterfall in the state of Missouri. It’s an absolutely beautiful place. Of course by the time you finish the three mile hike to get there, I would consider any place that you can actually sit down and rest to be beautiful. :-D

"And God saw every thing that He had made, and, behold, it was very good." .

"The Lord will bless His people with peace."

"The flower fadeth, but the word of our God shall stand."

"My speech shall distill as the dew."

"My ways are higher."

"He shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river."

NOTE: Most of the above photos are also available without text. If you are interested in such a print, please comment and I'll see if I can help you out.
