Sunsets

"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help." - Psalm 121:1

I took this picture back during the summer on a camping trip we took, but it took me this long to finally get around to uploading it. We had sat on top of a mountain for a good part of the evening, but the sun set behind us so I didn't get to get any good shots until we started making our way back to camp and passed this nice little lookout where I had a spectacular spot for snapping a final few shots.

Already in awe of the gorgeous sunset, I walked past this farm equipment Friday and knew it would make the perfect picture. I hurriedly put my stuff down and got my camera out while there was still enough color in the sky to give this shot a really neat background.

Here’s another shot of the same sunset from my last photo. I really like both of them and couldn’t decide which one was the best and so I posted both!

Wow! I just got back from a two day hunting trip up north, and I am so glad I brought my camera. I came within an inch of leaving it at home, but after debating it a bit I decided to take it along. This is a great view of the sunset that took place directly behind me early this evening. This photo is 100% unedited, coming straight off my camera. I’ve never before seen a sunset where you could look directly into the sun itself without so much as squinting your eyes. It was truly amazing!

We went to a Civil War reenactment last month and I was privileged to see the magnificent sunset. I think my camera’s sunset mode captured the moment quite nicely. (Not available in 8x10)

I really like this photo of a sunset near my house. It was quite unique in that it didn't display a lot of colors, and in that sense it resembles a sunrise more so than it does a sunset.
