I've been getting pictures every night of three deer that keep hanging around our house. I have a motion-activated trail camera that I've been using and putting a mineral block right in front of it seems to be attracting them quite nicely.

This is one animal I never thought I'd get a shot of. Even though moles obviously can't see very well at all, they sure know how to kick it into high gear when they feel threatened. So even if you're lucky enough to see one of these guys above ground, don't count on an easy time getting it to hold still.

New Kind of Bird?

Squirrels love birdseed. This is fine for photographers who enjoy snapping pictures of anything and everything they can, but birdwatchers in our area try everything within their power to keep these critters out of the bird feeders. As you can see from the picture, they can clean a person out fairly quickly.

Finger-Licking Good

The gray squirrel is a common little animal here where I live, but I actually took this photo at my cousin's birthday party yesterday. They had so many of them that I could have gotten a decent shot with my eyes closed.

I took this picture several months ago of what I believe is an Eastern Collared Lizard. They were quite plentiful throughout this little glade, and I didn’t have much trouble in getting a decent photo of one.

Eastern Collared Lizard

I took this photo back at the beginning of summer before I really became interested in photography (I’ve only been serious about it since July) or even had a nice camera. But even then, I still enjoyed taking pictures as you can see here. I thought this was such a beautiful lizard, and I took as many shots as possible. In fact, this particular shot was shared on the photo page of my favorite magazine’s website. I’m still hoping to get one of my pictures published by them one day!
